In the past we've been kept waiting weeks or even months past the initial deadline for the next instalment to arrive, but it seems that Epic are keen to push Fortnite forward as soon as possible this time around. With recent teases both online and in-game, we know that a Marvel theme is on the cards for the upcoming storyline, with Thor arriving on the island to warn of impending doom at the hands of Galactus. A Fortnite season normally lasts for around 10 weeks, although that has been subject to change in seasons of late – usually an extra week or two is added on the end for overtime, but thanks to various delays Chapter 2 Season 2 ended up running for a whopping 17 weeks! According to the Epic website the current Battle Pass runs until August 26, and the in-game Battle Pass screen says "Chapter 2 – Season 3 through August 27th", which makes the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 start date Thursday, August 27. This has recently been confirmed multiple times by Epic, so barring any last-minute hiccups we'll actually have the first instance of a 10 week season for a long time.
